End of Term

We would like to thank everyone for helping to make Term 3 a very exciting one for us. We have had our very sucessful dance evening, a poetry recital, cross country, disco, sausage sizzles and lots of fun with Fairy Tales. Next term we will be even busier so please keep looking and leaving comments; we love to hear from you. Have a safe and happy holiday and we will be back.....

Our Art Rage Class

We have been working hard to create our portraits using Art Rage. We had to sketch over our photo and then use an e-paint brush to complete our look. It was very tricky to do but the results are fantastic. We have such a cool looking class.....what do you think?

Mondrian Pics

For maths week we designed our own Mondrian art. We used black sharpie and bright colours. They look cool. Room 17

Maths roadshow came to town

We had to build blocks and follow instructions to make shapes against a mirror, SW, JT and CS

We had monkeys and we had to count all the flashes from a switch as the monkeys raced against each other down the board, FS

We had to drop blocks into holes to work out the temperature of different cities and answer questions. Peace out, SW, JT and CS

There was a code that we followed to pull levers out and it showed parts of pictures. You followed the instructions and when they were in the right order they spelt out a name
, the boys name was Tim and the girl was Joy. JD and LT

Maths roadshow came to town

Graham made all of the maths games for us to play with.
JE had to find out how many things he could fit on the back of the truck before it was overloaded.


We had to move the board to get the cow through the gates, it took us 12 gates. AR


MdK says it was tricky to get the blocks in the right place.

We were playing a treasure hunt, we had to move a block to see how many spaces we needed to get to the treasure, TD

We wanted to share this video with you all because we thought is was amazing. We have learnt about animals in their habitats and this shows you dolphins in theirs. We think it would be cool to see in real life. Have you ever seen a pod of dolphins?

Term 3

Welcome back to Term 3 at Botany Downs Primary School. We have a busy term. We will be continuing to learn about trends from other decades and we will finish it all off with a big dance evening in week 4. We are all learning dances from different decades and it will be a fantastic evening.....so mark it in your diary. We will start our new topic in week 5 which looks like it will be very exciting and we will continue to keep you all up to date so don't forget to keep looking at our blog. We also want to thank all of those people who have taken the time to look at our blog and leave us a lovely comment. We love reading them every morning and it gives us a real buzz to see people enjoying our work.

We have spent some time during maths this week playing basic facts games on the laptops. We really enjoy playing these and Miss Wright says that we all work together really well and are very focussed.
